UNCG is hosting Esports & Gaming Summer Camp for 8-14 year-olds! This summer, six one-week camps are being offered on campus in the beautiful Esports arena, a state-of-the-art 3,300 square feet facility, along with computer lab spaces on campus. Camps will be divided by ages with an 8-11 year-old group and an 11-14 year-old group. Eleven-year-olds can choose either group based on comfort level.
The arena includes a large number of gaming PCs, consoles, four large video walls, and eight large-screen video panels to facilitate shared experiences with areas for collaboration and academic instruction.
The summer camp content will include instruction from nationally-renowned gaming education company Black Rocket. Campers will have the opportunity to focus on two major subjects each week – one in the morning and one in the afternoon – and of course have plenty of time allotted for gameplay and friendly competitions.
To register for summer camps, please visit the registration website.

Summer camp instructional time is from 9 am – 4 pm.
Drop-off time is 8:30 am – 9 am. Pick-up time is 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
Drop-off and pick-up details and instructions will be provided prior to the start of camp.
We recommend campers do not bring valuables to camp. If a camper chooses to bring valuables to camp (e.g. a mobile device), UNCG is not responsible for it. All of our camp counselors will have a mobile phone and contact information for parents/guardians if the camper needs to get in touch with their family. If a camper does bring a mobile phone, we ask campers to not be on their device during instructional time.
Campers do NOT need to bring their own laptop or computer to camp. Computers will be available for them to use in our computer lab and Esports arena.
Between 12:00pm – 1:00pm, campers will eat with the counselors in our Food Court on-campus. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch or bring money for the Food Court. Due to allergies, we ask campers to avoid bringing nut products. We are unable to refrigerate any lunches, so please pack them in a lunchbox with an ice pack if necessary. To see a list of what is open at the Food Court and a menu, please check out Spartan Dining. The Food Court accepts cash and card. If the weather is nice, we may sometimes eat outside.
After signing up your child for our camp, you will receive an email prior to your camper’s start date to confirm your contact information, designated pick-up, opt out, and any medical needs we need to be aware of. The week prior to the start of your child’s camp session, you will receive a full camp agenda, classroom locations, and maps to classrooms and parking.
Because we will typically not be in the office, the best way to contact us is by emailing our Program Coordinator at info@uncgcamps.com. If you are having difficulty getting in contact via email, you use live chat uncgcamps.com and they will be happy to relay messages to our camp.
One of our top priorities at camp is the health and safety of all our campers. If your camper has a communicable illness, please keep them home for the day. If a camper is dropped off at camp and a communicable illness is suspected (fever, vomiting, pink eye, etc.), you will be expected to pick up your camper within 30 minutes of our notification. Campers may return to camp with a note from a physician approving their return. Please be aware that we do not give refunds for illnesses the week of camp.
We will honor a full refund if you cancel 14 days prior to the start of the camp session. After 14 days, no refunds will be made.
If you have further questions or concerns, please reach out to our Program Coordinator at info@uncgcamps.com.
